Tennis and Cyberspace Mania

What an absolutely interesting week.

First Michael Jackson dies and I am devastated. Absolutely devastated. You see, I am one of those MJ fans who believed he would live forever. Yes, I know, I am crazy, and I have been in denial about MJ. Since he became the 'weird guy' I chose to respect his space, his preferences and just love the gift he gave me, and so many others, that of his music. As long as he lived, there was a chance that that special magic would bubble, like Bubbles, that more special music would be made. So I was OK, as long as he was alive. But he died. So now, I am left to ponder, and possibly, just remain grateful that I lived in the same decades that he did. I mean, how special is that? That is the MJ effect in my life.

Then today, in Center Court, Wimbledon, Andy beats Andy. That means Roddick beat Murray and I could not be happier. I am one of those sad Federer fans, and last year, 2008, was a tough one for us Fed fans. I was so very sad when Federer lost to Nadal in Wimbledon. He had just lost the French Open, not surprisingly, but I was absolutely convinced he would win Wimbledon. Even if he had to fight 5 full sets. Sadly I was wrong. He lost. I lost and I was left to wonder, if indeed Federer had lost his magic touch. I digress. Back to today, Federer, having recently won the French Open, wooohoooo, had just beaten another nemesis, Haas, to make it to the 7th straight Wimbledon Finals. Well, Murray has beaten Federer more than I care to admit, so I wager that he stands a better chance with Roddick, than he did with Murray. I was so thrilled, so happy, that I screamed and the cops came.

Yes. Take a deep breathe on that last point. The cops came to my door. They asked if I was OK.... MMMM.

So, to celebrate this achievement, I just bought a ticket to the AT&T nationals, to hopefully watch Tiger Woods win this tournament, in my backyard.

Go Federer, Go Andy, Go Tiger!

I live in your worlds!
